2017 Delmarva Needle Art Show & Competition
Our 2017 Delmarva Needle Art Show & Competition culminated in awards going to ribbon winners. But it is clear from comments among all the entry participants, that all submitted needle art pieces were amazing. We agree!
First Place in the Adult Category went to Janice Yates of Snow Hill, for her white dimensional crochet afghan.
Second place went to Wendell L. Keyes of Alexandria, Virginia, for his "Olde Mill at Autumn" counted cross stitch. Mr. Keyes also won the People's Choice Award, which this year was a three-way tie!
Third place went to Suzanne Coleburn of Berlin, Maryland, for her "Masks from the Past" quilt.
An Honorable Mention ribbon went to Gerry Schmidlin of Pocomoke, Maryland, for her "Silence in the House" small quilt with poem and original design. She had not realized it at the time, but she managed to insert an image of a country church which looks just like the Julia A. Purnell Museum!
